Biography:
Coach DJ attended (1st-12th grade) & graduated from ACS in 2017. She played Middle School Soccer at Atlantic from 2010-2012 (5th -7th grade) as well as Travel & Club. She was a part of the Varsity Soccer team at ACS from 2013-2017 (8th-12th grade). During her time as a Varsity Captain (sophomore- senior year), she was coached by Sister Carly Witherow when the team achieved ACS’s first conference title in 2017. This was the first time the HS girls won the conference title for Soccer, Basketball, & Softball for ACS Athletics all in the same year. DJ had 88 career goals, averaging 2 goals a game, along with 43 career assists in 50 games during her HS career. DJ was named conference MVP & was a 5-time all-conference all-star in the TSCAC. DJ played College Soccer at Cairn University where she had 23 career goals, and 14 assists, and was a 3-time all-conference all-star over just 3 seasons at Cairn. In her time at Cairn, she started all 60 of her games played. Now over the past 5 years, DJ has been a trainer for EDP teams in Gloucester Township & this past year followed in her Sister’s (Carly Witherow) footsteps & coached ACS Varsity Soccer for the 2023 Fall season. “I am a coach because of the kids & passion I have for the sport itself. There is no other feeling quite like helping young athletes further develop their natural persistence, determination, discipline, dedication, resiliency, work ethic, heart, leadership skills, connection with, and respect for others, not only in competition, but in life!”
